Admin Fields Explained

These are all the fields that are available in the Admin backend.

Features Config

Some features can be enabled or disabled using the Admin.

  • Points Gem: This is the gem that rests right next to the point value each activity is worth.
  • Profile Charts: This chart displays all the category buckets inside the app and how many points a user has earned associated to that category bucket.
  • Feed: This enables or disables the activity feed from the bottom navigation.
  • Posts: This enables or disables the ability for a user to post to the activity feed.
  • Chat: This enables or disables the chat from the bottom navigation and user profile.
  • New Chat Enabled: This allows users to create a new chat from the chat section of the app.
  • Coaching Enabled: This is an old feature that no longer functions
  • Connections Enabled: This is an old feature that no longer functions

 

Leaderboard Config

  • Team Leaderboard: This adds a section to the user profile that displays a users team and team ranking
  • Community Leaderboard: This adds a section to the user profile that displays the user compared to other users on the leaderboard.

 

Segments Config

  • Segments: This enables or disables the segment feature.

 

Teams Config

  • Teams: This enables or disables the whole team feature.
  • Prompt for Teams After Signup: This modifies the onboarding process. 
  • Users Can Join Multiple Teams: This allows users to select multiple teams from the list.
  • All Teams Screen: This allows users to see a list of all teams when viewing the leaderboard.

 

Profile Config

  • Profile Bio: This enables/disables a long text box that allows the user to input 2,000 characters about themselves.
  • Role: This enables/disables a short text box that users can input the name of their role/title.
  • Industry: This enables/disables a drop-down of professional industries for a user to select.
  • Organization: This enables/disables a drop-down of companies or organizations.
  • School: This enables/disables a dropdown of schools.
  • Profile Segments: This enables/disables segments from appearing on the user's profile.
  • Facebook: This enables/disables the ability to add a Facebook URL to the user's profile.
  • Twitter: This enables/disables the ability to add a Twitter URL to the user's profile.
  • Instagram: This enables/disables the ability to add an Instagram URL to the user's profile.
  • Snapchat: This enables/disables the ability to add a Snapchat URL to the user's profile.
  • LinkedIn: This enables/disables the ability to add a LinkedIn URL to the user's profile.
  • Telephone: This enables/disables the ability to add a Telephone number to the user's profile.
  • Profile URL: This enables/disables the ability to add a website URL to the user's profile.

 

Demographics Config

  • Birthday:  This field is actually required and can't be disabled.
  • Race: This enables/disables the request for the user's race.
  • Gender: This enables/disables the request for the user's gender.
  • ZIP Code: This enables/disables the request for the user's ZIP code.

 

App Sharing

Filling this out adds an additional section to the more section of the app that allows users to quickly share your app with others on social media platforms and more.

  • Share Message: This is the default text that will be recommended to the user when they try to share the app with others.
  • Share URL: This is the URL that individuals will be sent to when they see the message that your user shared.


Welcome Email

This doesn't work right now.

 

App Settings

Users can access the settings section of the app by going to more>settings.

  • Edit Profile: Users are able to modify their profile from this section.
  • My Teams: Users can join or switch teams from this section.
  • My Segments: Users can join or switch segments from this section.
  • Change Password: Users can update their password from this section.
  • Allow others to see my activity: I don't believe this works right now.
  • Push Notifications: Users can read about push notifications but the best way to ensure a user has push notifications enabled is to delete the app and then download it again.
  • Location Services: Users can read about location services but the best way to ensure a user has location services enabled is to delete the app and then download it again.
  • Send us your feedback! This is how users can send feedback about the app, letting us know about any issues or report fellow users. Users can send screenshots this way too. This also sends us information about the user's phone so we can troubleshoot issues. 
  • About MilkCrate: This links to our website and lets people know about us.
  • Privacy Policy:  This is the MilkCrate privacy policy.
  • Terms of Use: This is the MilkCrate terms of use.
  • Software Licenses: This is the Software License.
  • Logout: This is how users can sign out of their account, once they log out our team recommends closing the app and opening it back up.
  • Version Number: This is the version release number that helps our team understand which version of the app is downloaded on the user's phone.
